Found Treasure

So the screen on my beautiful little digital camera seems to have being impacted by some unknown force. And it is currently winging its way back to the supplier for a full refund...fingers crossed. In the mean time, the streets of Chicago are proving more than entertaining with other peoples memories. If you look closely, you can see this was taken on the Men In Black Alien Attack ride at Universal Studios Florida on 24th February 2007. Agent score not recorded!

The Love Affair Continues

As I don't seem to be having much luck taking real (whatever that means) photographs of rubbish that take time to set up, cost a small fortune in sheet film and break my back carrying equipment, this little digital camera is filling the void nicely. Expect to see more...a lot more.

Stitching Photographs...

I have been wanting to purchase a little point & shoot digital camera for some time, but it wasn't until one night propping the end of the bar up at The Skylark that I came to meet my new love. Kodak's Easy Share (I hate that title) V705. It does everything; zoom lens (39-117mm), wide angle lens (23mm), takes movies, edit in camera, print and email direct from camera at the same time as performing 5 consecutive cartwheels! But what is really cool, yes there's more, is you can take 3 images next to each other and it will "Stitch" them together to make 1 wide arse image. For best results stand in one central position and rotate from left to right (if you select left to right direction) taking your 3 sections at regular intervals. This was taken downtown at Block 37 where the State Street version of 900 N. Michigan is under construction.

Bigger Than Life

I stubbled across some photographs on a blog that I had also stubbled upon. This personal blog of the Abrams family is fun, but not one I would normally peruse simply on the mixture of visual asethetics being used. But that's me and you should definately check it out, if only for the Glamour of Fight entry. What I did enjoy and search further for was photographer Patrick Savalle who had been fortunate enough to photograph Jumbo Fairpartner, also known as Jumbo Ship. I'll let the images say the rest...
